Self care is so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from and empty vessel.
Personal happiness directly relates to kindness one then can give to others and will manifest towards becoming less self centered and forgiveness.
… If you feel “burnout” setting in, if you feel demoralized and exhausted, it is best, for the sake of everyone, to withdraw and RESTORE yourself.
You have a right to happiness as do other people. This way of thinking can also lead to compassion.
Often times people forget about taking care of themselves, thinking if they do, then they are self centered. This is actually quite the opposite. If you are unhappy or not feeling well on an emotion or physical level, how can you treat others with kindness and compassion?
What is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is paying attention to the now. What you see, hear, taste, and touch, right in this moment. More importantly it is noticing what your emotions are in the present. Mindfulness is noticing how you feel with out judging.

Mistakes, Failing, and Forgiving yourself
It is ok to make mistakes, it is ok to fail. Mistakes and failing is just a way to rule out that something isn’t working. What is important is to keep trying. When something does not go your way, take a minute, it is ok to feel sad or upset. But then take a look back on what happened and why it might have happened that way. What do you know now? What worked and what did not work? If you made a mistake, know that is ok, everyone makes mistakes. What is important is to try to correct that mistake and forgive yourself for making it.
Some Ideas to try:
Try discussing feelings, and celebrate failure
Imagine trading places with the other person
Turn to your self before reacting
Always remember you have a choice
If you are anxious, picture yourself strong
Make a plan on how to react next time
If you are overwhelmed, take a break
Start a journal
If you are mad, think of 10 kindnesses about that person you are mad at, even if it is yourself
Meditation and Mindfulness
Meditation and Mindfulness is important to learn as a kid and adult. We want to teach kids how to understand and cope with their feelings. This will allow them to manage the stresses of the world.
